GDS to represent Hertz Marine Audio in UK exclusive deal

GDS Limited has been appointed the exclusive UK distributor of Hertz Marine Audio, in the marine sector.
“We are delighted with this announcement,” says Adrian Gray, MD of GDS. “Hertz Audio is a leading brand within the Marine Audio space and is a really nice addition to our growing portfolio of segment leading brands. Having visited their factory in Italy recently, Elettromedia has a very impressive range of audio brands spanning many segments and is very clearly focussed on new product development. Their testing facilities are way beyond anything else that we have been involved with, giving us the confidence that Hertz will be at the forefront of marine audio in very short time.”
The Hertz product range includes subwoofers, speakers (including in-ceiling and enclosed versions), amplifiers, DSP, source units and various accessories to make the audio experience complete.
Earlier this year, Hertz announced that it was partnering with Princecraft Boats. The latter’s 2025 Vogue RL will be the first pontoon to feature a hi-res audio-certified marine stereo as standard, following the aluminium boatbuilder’s partnership with Italian Hertz Marine.
According to Hertz Marine, its new Capri stereo is the first and only hi-res audio certified marine source unit, delivering 24-bit/96 kHz playback with an extended frequency response up to 40 kHz. Until now, Hertz says marine stereos have been limited to CD-quality sound (16-bit/44.1 kHz).
Founded in 1987, Elletromedia is a leading manufacturer of speakers, amplifiers, audio processors and accessories for the car, marine, powersport and pro-audio industries. With the introduction of the Hertz Audio brand, Elettromedia is pursuing a leading role in the loudspeaker field. It says the Hertz brand offers a complete range of products to experience the thrill of high quality sound in any situation.
