Maritimo appoints Southeast Asia dealer

Maritimo has named Primus Marine as its authorised dealer for Southeast Asia, extending its presence across Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

The appointment brings the number of Maritimo Luxury Motor Yachts locations in Southeast Asia to four, alongside existing dealerships in Japan, Singapore and Malaysia, with Thailand now added.

Founded by Australian boatbuilder Bill Barry-Cotter, Maritimo has operated since 2003, focusing on engineering-led, long-range motor yachts intended for offshore use and extended cruising. The company builds vessels on shaft-drive platforms, with a design approach centred on range and durability.

The Southeast Asia market includes a growing number of owners seeking vessels suited to longer trips. Regional conditions, including the distance between cruising areas and varying sea states, contribute to demand for motor yachts designed with range and operational efficiency in mind.

“Southeast Asia is an important growth market for Maritimo, and what we’re seeing is a growing desire among owners to experience more than what’s accessible on a day trip – to travel further, stay longer and reach parts of the region that many boats simply aren’t designed for,” says Derrick Nowak, Maritimo’s global business development manager.

“That requires a different type of platform; one built around range, protection and reliability, which is exactly what Maritimo is known for globally.

“We’ve seen consistent enquiry from across the region in recent years, particularly from Thailand, and it was important for us to align with a partner who understands this and is committed to building the brand properly. Primus Marine has a strong track record across Southeast Asia, and together, we are well positioned to grow Maritimo’s presence here.”

Under the agreement, Primus Marine will represent Maritimo’s full range of motor yachts. This includes the M-Series flybridge motor yachts, S-Series sedan motor yachts and Offshore Series models.

The partnership also supports Maritimo’s participation in the Singapore Yacht Festival 2026.

“Maritimo is a highly respected name among experienced yacht owners, particularly those who value offshore capability, efficiency and long-range cruising,” says Howard Prime, CEO and founder of Primus Marine.

“We see strong potential in Southeast Asia, where cruising conditions align closely with what Maritimo delivers. We are proud to represent the brand and look forward to building the market across the region.”
