New marina office open at MDL’s Hamble Point Marina

MDL’s Hamble Point Marina has opened a redesigned marina office. The new office forms part of broader improvements, following the completion of upgraded customer facilities earlier this year.
The redevelopment brings together the marina office, restrooms, and showers under one roof, replacing the previous standalone facilities block. The space provides berth holders and visitors with 24/7 access and a more convenient layout.
Designed to improve the customer experience, the office features a navigation-inspired feature wall, illuminated fascia signage for enhanced visibility, and a relaxed seating area furnished by Evocean.
Dominic Brown, marina manager at Hamble Point says the redevelopment was intended to “make life easier and more enjoyable for our berth holders and visitors,” highlighting the contribution of Property and Estate Project Manager Zander Ozelton in delivering the project.
The new toilets and showers (part of a £500,000 upgrade) provide individual cubicles, family-friendly spaces, and accessible facilities. Energy-efficient lighting and ventilation systems have been installed, alongside eco-friendly hand and shower wash supplied by Miniml Rekills, supporting MDL Marinas’ broader sustainability goals.
The Hamble Point Marina improvements are part of ongoing investment at the MDL site, which has also included resurfaced roadways, upgraded parking, enhanced waste management, and improved security.
Tim Mayer, sales and marketing director at MDL Marinas, comments: “At MDL, our customers are always at the heart of what we do. By continuing to invest in our facilities and adopting sustainable practices, we’re making sure that Hamble Point is not only fit for today, but for the future.”
Local photographer Neil Williams’ work is displayed throughout the interior, while the on-site Galley Store offers provisions and freshly ground coffee for visiting boaters.
