Tessilmare strengthens its fender systems

Italian producer of suntops, fender profiles and marine fabrics, Tessilmare has launched the Stryke Rub Rail, a new rollable modular fender system designed to protect boats with maximum efficiency and ease of installation.

The Stryke Rub Rail is characterised by two key components: a durable, flexible PVC mounting base and a high-performance shock-absorbing insert. The system is engineered to be securely fixed using marine-grade adhesive, requiring only a limited number of non-structural screws for added stability.

Flexible and rollable for easy transportation, the product is also adaptable to curved hulls, giving a strong competitive advantage.

Tesilmare developed the new Rub Rail to provide an alternative to ‘outdated protection systems that are difficult to install, visually unappealing or inefficient in shock absorption’.

According to the manufacturer, traditional fender profiles provide limited protection surface, have poor compatibility with curved hulls or complex surfaces, and are ineffective against repeated impacts. Visible screws used to affix the fenders can also damage the hull and spoil the boat’s appearance

The Stryke Rub Rail is custom-cut to avoid waste and is available in white, black and grey.

Qbe – square fender profile

Within Tesilmare’s portfolio, the Qbe is a square-shaped fender profile made in flexible components with high-quality PVC for marine use. Thanks to its design, it can be adapted to both sandwich – and boxed-junction boats. Available in the 65 and 90mm versions, it is suited for any recreational, commercial and military boats.

First launched by Tessilmare in 2022, the Qbe was conceived to serve the northern European market and the trendy squared style preferred by many designers.

Tesilmare says that thanks to its simplicity of design and fixing, there is less setup time involved in installation. The dual-use rub rail (boxed and sandwich junction) also aims to reduce stock and standardise the design.
